Vancouver — Based on the costs associated with being a parent of a young athlete, a personal finance website has placed Vancouver on its list of the best 20 cities in the country to be a soccer mom or dad. A recent analysis by www.nerdwallet.com of the average cost of gasoline, vehicle insurance, snack prices, as well as the number of local soccer clubs, led to Vancouver being ranked the 15th-best city to raise a soccer star. The top city, out of 117 communities analyzed, was Tacoma. The other Washington city on the top 20 was Seattle, in 12th place.
