More than 900 north county students who qualify for free or reduced-price lunches are preregistered to participate in North County School Readiness Day on Friday inside the cafeteria at Battle Ground High School, 300 W. Main St., Battle Ground.
For those who preregistered, supplies are available from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Those who did not preregister may sign up from 5:15 to 5:30 p.m. If any supplies are left, they will be distributed from 5:30 to 6 p.m. or while they last.
New school supplies will be distributed to students who qualify for free or reduced-price lunches from the following ZIP codes: 98601, 98604, 98606 and 98675 Battle Ground district; 98622 and 98674, Hockinson district.
Gently used children’s clothing and books also will be distributed.
From 3 to 6 p.m., free immunizations are available for youths ages 2 months through 18 years. Guardian consent and immunization record required. By appointment only by calling 360-566-4409 or 360-566-4427.
