Continued construction work in the Salmon Creek area will close a section of Northeast 134th Street for two nights starting tonight, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

Crews will close the street at 11 p.m. tonight and Wednesday to install overhead sign structures on either side of Northeast 20th Avenue, according to WSDOT. The work will also close the onramp from 134th Street to southbound Interstate 205. The street will reopen by 5 a.m. each morning, according to WSDOT.

The closures will affect 134th Street between Northeast 23rd Avenue and Old Highway 99. Traffic will be controlled by flaggers and marked detour routes.

The work is part of the $133 million Salmon Creek Interchange Project as a new freeway interchange at Northeast 139th Street nears completion.
