The FBI announced Monday it has arrested a suspect they dubbed the “Short Stack Bandit,” accused of robbing 11 Portland-area financial institutions, including one in Vancouver.

Morgan Brice Williams was arrested Saturday night at a hotel in Irving, Texas, which is part of the Dallas area.

He faces five federal counts of bank robbery and one count of attempted bank robbery in U.S. District Court in Oregon.

In all, he is linked to 11 robberies, including an Oct. 29, 2013 robbery at iQ Credit Union, 7017 N.E. Vancouver Mall Drive.

The FBI gave him his colorful name due to his short stature. He is described as anywhere from 5 feet, 4 inches tall to 5 feet, 8 inches.

He was jailed in Irving awaiting extradition to Portland, according to the FBI.
