After making an addition to their front court last week, the Portland Trail Blazers added another body to their backcourt for the upcoming training camp.
The Blazers signed point guard Diante Garrett, who played most recently with the Utah Jazz, to a two-year non-guaranteed deal according to a source.
The Oregonian first reported the signing.
Garrett played in 71 games last season with the Jazz, averaging 3.5 points, 1.7 assists in 15 minutes per game. Garrett shot 38 percent from the field but a respectable 37 percent from the three-point line last season, improving from his rookie season.
The Jazz drafted point guard Dante Exum with the fifth overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, one-year after using a lottery pick on point guard Trey Burke 2013.
