A Portland man was hospitalized after his motorcycle crashed Monday morning on state Highway 503 about 24 miles east of Woodland.
Darcy Harding, 51, was driving a Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail Classic south on the highway in rural Cowlitz County and slowed for a yield sign. The motorcycle fell to the left and struck the pavement, according to the Washington State Patrol. The crash was reported at 11:22 a.m. near the Yale Bridge.
Harding was transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition. Troopers are investigating the cause of the crash.
