Port of Camas-Washougal Commissioners and some staff members will meet for several hours during a planning retreat.

The workshop is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 22, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Heathman Lodge, 7801 N.E. Greenwood Drive, Vancouver.

The cost of the conference room rental will be $300.

“We can get away from distractions and have lengthy planning discussions,” said Port Executive Director David Ripp.

Topics are expected to include port projects at the marina, Grove Field Airport, industrial park and Steigerwald Commerce Center, as well as the future waterfront trail and park at the former Hambleton Lumber Company site.

The session will be open to the public.
