Detectives are continuing their investigation into what they have called a domestic violence homicide in the West Hazel Dell neighborhood.

Clark County sheriff’s deputies were called to 201 N.W. 94th St. at about 11 p.m. Tuesday for a report of gunshots and an injured person.

When they arrived, they found 44-year-old Scott Montgomery Grossman dead inside the residence.

His girlfriend, whose name has not been released, shot and killed Grossman at close range, according to the sheriff’s office. She cooperated with detectives and has not been arrested.

The agency’s spokesman Sgt. Fred Neiman said investigators are not releasing details about what led up to the shooting in order to not hinder the ongoing investigation.
