A documentary, to be shown at the Liberty Theatre, will focus on senior citizens discovering the wonders of the Internet with the help of teenage mentors.

“Cyber-Seniors” will be shown Thursday, May 1, at 3 p.m., and 5:45 p.m. A mentor/networking party, presented by Camas Technology Specialists, is scheduled to occur from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., in the theater’s main auditorium. Admission to the documentary will be $4 per person.

The Cyber-Seniors program creates opportunities for high school students to mentor senior citizens on basic computer and online skills. It was founded in 2009 by Kascha and Macaulee Cassaday, high school students in Toronto.

Cyber-Seniors started as a community service project. The sisters were inspired after witnessing how learning to use the Internet had transformed their grandparents’ lives.

The Liberty Theatre is located at 315 N.E. Fourth Ave., in downtown Camas. For more information, call 859-9555 or visit www.camasliberty.com.
