In sunshine or during rain showers, spring gardening season is in full bloom with events this weekend. Lilac Days celebrates the work of lilac hybridizer and gardener Hulda Klager. Visitors can tour the historic 1880s Victorian farmhouse and gardens where multiple lilac varieties will be in bloom. Author Jane Kirkpatrick, who wrote a novel based on Klager’s life in “Where the Lilacs Still Bloom,” will visit the gardens from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.

The 23rd annual Clark Public Utilities Home and Garden Idea Fair features hundreds of ideas to transform your home, yard and garden. The event includes children’s activities, demonstrations, a large plant sale and home displays. There will also be a canned food drive to help support local food banks.

Pomeroy Farm hosts the Country Life Fair, Herb and Plant Sale is a community festival featuring a variety of demonstrations, including woodworking, soap making, weaving and chainsaw carving. Children’s activities include crafts, hayrides and a chance to meet the farm animals. There will also be a wide selection of plants, herbs and vegetable starts for sale.
