The PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center Foundation will be presented today with a $30,000 grant for its ADAPT program.
The Community Foundation for Southwest Washington is awarding the grant, which will fund scholarships for the ADAPT program, which provides outpatient mental health services.
The cost for treatment averages $2,200. ADAPT accepts commercially insured people, but about 30 percent of patients who need services are uninsured.
With the grant-sponsored scholarships, uninsured people who are most in need can attend ADAPT if they are a Clark County resident, don’t have public or private health insurance and meet the clinical criteria for the ADAPT program.
