Skills Center keeps 3,500 pounds of e-waste out of landfills

Image: Clark County Skills Center students recently collected 3,500 pounds of electronic waste to be recycled rather than dumped in a landfill. The teens in the center’s IT System, Service and Support program held a donation drive this year to bring in computers and other e-waste to be tested and dismantled before being recycled by Earth Friendly Recycling. The Skills Center plans to hold another electronics collection event in January.
