Northwest Pipe Co. says it’s been chosen to provide 81,958 feet of 108-inch diameter welded pipe for a pipeline project to boost the volume of water delivered from East Texas lakes to the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

The Vancouver-based company will supply the material to Kansas City, Mo.-based Garney Construction.

“We are excited to be part of such a critical water supply that will support the growing water needs within Texas,” Eric Stokes, a vice president of sales for Northwest Pipe, said in a news release.

In an email to The Columbian, Cheryl Mora, a spokeswoman for Northwest Pipe, declined to comment on the revenue the company will receive from the project.
