Local law enforcement agencies are inviting the public to discard old or unwanted medication safely at a drug take-back event.

The event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at Clark College’s Purple Parking lot No. 1, near the soccer field, 1900 Fort Vancouver Way.

The public is invited to bring any prescription medicine, including pain medication, for safe disposal with no questions asked and free of charge.

Another drug take-back event is scheduled for the same day and time at Kaiser Permanente’s Cascade Park Medical Office, 12607 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd.

These events are sponsored by the Drug Enforcement Administration in partnership with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office and Vancouver Police Department.
