Battle Ground: Clark County Fire and Rescue took part in a live fire training last week at a city-owned building on Main Street in Battle Ground. Nearly three dozen firefighters trained Thursday at 801 E. Main St., a building that once housed Galeotti’s Restaurant. The city bought the property so it could continue work on the next phase of its Grace Avenue Improvement Project, which will align the intersection of Grace Avenue and Main Street. Clark County Fire & Rescue spokesman Tim Dawdy said the exercise was a win-win: it let firefighters fulfill their mandated live fire training while demolishing a building that needed to come down for the street project.
