Vancouver police are searching for a suspect in an armed robbery that occurred just after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
A man displayed a handgun at Cascade Federal Credit Union, 1706 D St., in Vancouver’s Arnada neighborhood and left with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to Vancouver police spokeswoman Kim Kapp.
The man was described as 20 to 25 years old, 5-foot-10, with short black hair. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and something covering his nose and mouth, Kapp said. He was last seen going south on D Street and east on East 17th Street.
Police searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect. The major crimes unit is investigating.
The credit union was victim of another armed robbery about a week ago, when a man pulled a gun from his waistband and demanded cash. No arrests have been made in that case, Kapp said.
