A Washougal home will go up in flames Saturday as part of a training burn.
The event, organized by the Camas-Washougal Fire Department, will begin at 8:30 a.m., at 1007 “K” St. The final burn is expected to occur shortly after noontime. The 1,000 square foot single-family home with a detached garage was built in 1935, according to Clark County property records. The current owners are William and Billie Olsen.
The purpose of the event is to provide training to firefighters under realistic conditions.
K Street will be blocked off to traffic in the area immediately surrounding the house.
