A medical examiner has identified the bodies of two men recovered from area rivers Monday afternoon. Both men were previously reported missing.
The body of Scott Jerome Perry, 56, of Vancouver was seen floating in the middle of the Columbia River channel Monday afternoon near Caterpillar Island and Sauvie Island’s Reeder Beach. While river patrol deputies with the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office were en route to the call, they spotted a second man’s body floating in the Willamette River Near the BNSF railroad bridge. That body was identified as Danna Keith White, 27, of Portland.
Perry was reported missing February 22; his vehicle was recovered on the Glenn Jackson Bridge. He died from drowning and blunt force injuries, according to the Multnomah County Medical Examiner’s Office. His death was ruled a suicide.
White was reported missing March 18. The medical examiner’s office determined that he died from drowning, but couldn’t determine the manner of his death. There was no indication of foul play.
