Lizards, frogs and newts are waiting to be found by amateur herpetologists during the 14th annual Critter Count. Participants of all ages can learn how to conduct field surveys, which help monitor the local reptile and amphibian populations at selected wetland sites. The event begins at 9 a.m. with a brief training session at the Water Resources Education Center. After the Critter Count, children can meet a variety of live snakes, frogs and lizards during two reptile shows from 1 to 3:30 p.m.

2. Dueling pianos
The annual Three Grands Concert will feature the piano talents of three blind musicians, Nick Baker, Brent Gjerve and Mac Potts. They will be joined by vocalist Darcy Schmitt along with other special guests. The concert benefits the Pacific Foundation for Blind Children and the School of Piano Technology for the Blind.
