Police are trying to locate a suspect in a robbery reported at a bank in Vancouver’s Arnada neighborhood.

A man walked into the bank, pulled a gun from his waistband and demanded cash, according to Vancouver Police Department spokeswoman Kim Kapp.

The robbery was reported just before 1 p.m. at Cascade Federal Credit Union, 1706 D St. The man left with an undisclosed amount of cash and was last seen running east on East 17th Street.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, wearing a black sweatshirt or jacket, black and green baseball cap and a paisley bandana over his face, Kapp said.

Officers continue to search the area and have called in for assistance from a canine unit, Kapp said.
