Two Washougal teens were arrested for allegedly going on a vandalism spree last week around central Washougal.
Windows were shattered and buildings and vehicles were spray-painted with profanities and anarchist symbols Thursday and Friday night. The spree caused an estimated $5,000 damage to houses, Washougal School District buildings and park buildings and playground equipment.
Two of the teenage suspects were arrested by Washougal police officers shortly after they allegedly threw a rock through the window of a house in the 3300 block of L Street just after 10 p.m. Friday. Justin Cameron, 18, and a 15-year-old, whose name was not released, both admitted to causing the damage while being questioned by police.
Cameron was booked into the Clark County Jail on multiple counts of suspected malicious mischief. The other teen was booked into the Clark County Juvenile Detention center on the same allegations. Police are seeking a third possible juvenile suspect in connection with the crimes.
Anyone with information regarding these crimes is asked to call police at 360-835-8701.
