A Portland woman was injured Monday afternoon in a rear-end collision on state Highway 14 near the Interstate 5 Bridge in Vancouver.

Belinda Beller, 37, was westbound in her Subaru Legacy on Highway 14, driving behind a Nissan Titan pickup; both vehicles were merging onto I-5 south. When the pickup slowed for traffic, the Subaru struck the pickup from behind, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The accident was reported at 12:26 p.m. Beller was injured and transported to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in Portland, where she was treated and later discharged. The driver of the pickup, Kenneth Adams, 49 of Corbett, Ore., was not injured.

Driver inattention caused the collision, according to the patrol. The agency did not immediately issue a citation.
