Nominees for high school football player of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Sept. 28. Voting will conclude at 8 p.m. Tuesday with results published in Wednesday’s Columbian.

  • JACOB DENNIS, SKYVIEW: Dennis caught six passes for 77 yards and two touchdowns and added an 18-yard TD run as the Storm beat Enumclaw.
  • ARRYIUS PRESLEY, HUDSON’S BAY: Presley caught eight passes for 237 yards and scored four touchdowns, including three in the fourth quarter to help Bay rally past Ridgefield.
  • JUSTIN SMALLEY, BATTLE GROUND: Smalley rushed for 234 yards on 34 carries and scored four touchdowns in the Tigers’ win over Auburn Mountainview.
  • JUSTIN STRAUP, EVERGREEN: Straup rushed for 191 yards on 16 carries and scored one touchdown in Evergreen’s win over Kelso.
  • ELI WHITMIRE, WOODLAND: Whitmire finished with 264 yards of offense, scored three touchdowns on offense and added a 71-yard punt return for a TD in Woodland’s win over Montesano.
