Ridgefield-based East Fork Cellars has opened for business in the historic Slocum House at Esther Short Park in downtown Vancouver.
The venue in the city-owned home of town pioneers Charles and Laura Slocum will feature wine tastings and sales, as well as an art gallery that’s been added to Vancouver’s First Friday Artwalk route.
The downtown location, 605 Esther St., is a new venue for private parties and special events, and plans are in the works to open an indoor movie theater.
East Fork Cellars also plans to hold live music and wine events at the Slocum House. The venue is open from noon to 8 p.m. Friday through Sunday. Owners expect to expand hours in October. East Fork Cellars is owned by Columbia Plains Holdings, which produces master wine blends, using grapes from its Clark County vineyard and from vineyards in eastern Washington.
