A memorial service for Rob Figley, a local Santa Claus and wedding officiant, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Congregational Church, 1220 NE 68th St. in Vancouver.
“All are welcome as we celebrate the life of Rob,” said his wife, Diane.
Figley, who worked as Santa for 15 years and married about 1,300 couples in the Pacific Northwest, died Saturday at the age of 57 from complications from a surgery, Diane said.
In lieu of flowers, bring an unwrapped toy or a gift card from a store where presents can be purchased.
“We will make sure that the magic of Christmas lives on,” Diane said.
