Scott Bossom, a lender relations specialist with the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Portland office, will address local small businesses, along with members and nonmembers of the group Buy Vancouver, at 7 p.m. Oct. 9 at Steamers & Screamers coffee shop, 8400 N.E. Vancouver Mall Loop, Suite 105.
Bossom will talk about small business lending and ways small business owners can leverage capital. Bossom, who formerly worked for Albina Community Bank in Portland, says small business lending has started to recover from its more than 17 percent decline between 2008 and 2012. He joined the SBA in 2011 His presentation will offer advice and include a question-and-answer period.
