Esther Short — Downtown homeless shelter and Christian ministry Open House Ministries fed the community and had some good clean fun on Sept. 15. Open House’s third annual barbecue, block party and car show was sponsored by the Rotary Club of Greater Clark County; also helping out were numerous partners including Guild Mortgage, A1 Storage, Pleasant View Church of the Nazarene in Ridgefield, Butcher Boys and Umpqua Bank. The Truth Be Told Band performed. “All kinds of vendors came together and had an amazing time to bring awareness to our homeless shelter,” said Open House spokeswoman Lucy Gaspar.
