Chamber of commerce plans three fall campaign events

The Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce will host a mayoral debate, 6 to 7 p.m. Oct. 2 at Gaiser Hall at Clark College, 1933 Fort Vancouver Way.

The debate between Mayor Tim Leavitt and Councilor Bill Turlay will be televised by CVTV.

Doors open at 5 p.m. for the event, which will be moderated by John McDonagh of the Vancouver Business Journal.

Vancouver City Council candidates and challengers will be featured at a forum at 5 p.m. Oct. 10 at the Clark College Tech Center Campus, 18700 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd.

Finally, the chamber will sponsor three gatherings at which the public can meet freeholder candidates from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 17.

• District 1 candidates will meet at Mill Creek Pub, 1710 S.W. 9th Ave. in Battle Ground.

• District 2 candidates will meet at the Camas Police Station, 2100 N.E. 3rd Ave., Camas.

• District 3 candidates will meet at Latte Da Coffee House & Wine Bar, 205 E. 39th St., Vancouver.
