Week 2 prep fall athlete of the week voting

Nominees for the high school fall athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Sept. 21. Voting will conclude at 8 p.m. Thursday with results published in Friday’s Columbian.

EDDIE ABELLAR, UNION BOYS GOLF: The junior shot a 2-under 34 at Camas Meadows in a match vs. Camas. And he won his singles match and his alternate-shot match to help Union win the Titan Cup.

NEESHA GODBOLE, MOUNTAIN VIEW GIRLS SOCCER: Godbole scored one goal in each of Mountain View’s three wins and added five assists.

MORGAN MICHELETTI, LA CENTER VOLLEYBALL: Micheletti had a whopping 30 digs in a three-set win over King’s Way, then added 18 digs and three aces in a win over Stevenson.

ALISSA PUDLITZKE, CAMAS GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY: Pudlitzke won the race on the easy course at Three-Course Challenge in Seaside, Ore., helping the Papermakers finish third in the top division.

THANH VO, HUDSON’S BAY BOYS TENNIS: In addition to two straight-set victories, Vo gutted out a 2 1/2 -hour, three-set marathon match during which he suffered an injury and still won 6-4, 6-7 (2), 7-6 (4).
