High school football player of the week nominees
Nominees for high school football player of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Sept. 21. Voting will conclude at 8 p.m. Tuesday with results published in Wednesday’s Columbian.
• RONNIE EVENDEN, PRAIRIE: Evenden rushed for 225 yards on 21 carries and scored three touchdowns in the Falcons’ 29-20 loss to Evergreen.
• REY GREEN, EVERGREEN: Green caught three passes for 102 yards and two touchdowns and ran 10 times for 46 yards and scored another TD in Evergreen’s win over Prairie.
• BOBBY JACOBS, WASHOUGAL: Jacobs rushed for 226 yards on 23 carries and scored three touchdowns in Washougal’s 35-0 win over Fort Vancouver.
