Are you at risk for diabetes? Do you have a family member with diabetes, or been told you have pre-diabetes? If so, WSU Extension is offering a 16-week series of classes starting Thursday aimed at helping you learn how to prevent the future diagnosis of diabetes or put it off for a number of years.

The classes will teach about managing food intake and physical activity.

It will also include instruction on how to manage lifestyle changes, eating out, and handling stress, emotions and social cues around eating.

The hourlong classes start at 9 a.m. Thursday at Heritage Farm, 1919 N.E. 78th St.

Registration is required, and class size is limited. Scholarships are available.

Contact Sandy Brown at 360-397-6060 ext. 5770 to register.
