Will Noce-Sheldon of Seton Catholic was voted The Columbian’s high school football player of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Sept. 14.
Noce-Sheldon collected 57 percent of the 1,413 votes cast by fans to beat out Austin Mace of Mountain View, who had 21.4 percent.
The quarterback completed 11 of 16 passes for 281 yards and four touchdowns and rushed for 105 yards on 11 carries and another TD in the Cougars’ win over Ilwaco.
The other nominess were Jay Becker of King’s Way Christian, Colston Vukanovich of Battle Ground and Eli Whitmire of Woodland.
