The accounting program at Washington State University Vancouver is one of the first two in the nation to be endorsed by the Institute of Management Accountants.
The IMA endorses universities with undergraduate programs that enable students to pursue and earn the Certified Management Accountant credential.
IMA helps accountants and financial professionals expand their skills, manage their organizations and enhance their careers.
To qualify for the endorsement, a university’s accounting program must substantially cover the CMA exam content, have adequate faculty resources to deliver the content and be accredited by a recognized accreditation association, and a faculty member must be designated as an IMA campus advocate.
Pennsylvania State University also was endorsed.
