A 27-year-old Vancouver man was arrested after a fight in Portland’s Old Town early Saturday morning.

Officers from Portland Police Bureau’s Central Precinct witnessed one man assault another man at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday near Northwest Third Avenue and Couch Street. Officers quickly arrested the suspect, Ephraim Ieremia Alefaio, according to Portland police.

Portland Fire & Rescue responded to the scene to treat the victim, 29-year-old William Chambers of Portland. Chambers was transported to a Portland hospital with a significant head injury. His injury does not appear to be life threatening, according to police.
