La Center 49, Ilwaco 0

The La Center offense was grinding up the yards as well as the Wildcats’ defense was holding down Ilwaco in the season-opening victory at Ilwaco.

Connor Fulton rushed 14 times for 100 yards and he scored twice on offense and on a 29-yard fumble recovery. He also had seven tackles on defense.

Fulton’s total was part of 296 yards rushing by the Wildcats.

Max Hiller had 89 yards rushing on seven carries and three touchdowns. Quarterback Wyatt Aguirre threw for one TD and ran in another.

On defense, the Wildcats held Ilwaco to just 68 yards of offense and forced three turnovers. Alex Mesa had five tackles and forced a fumble.
