Small-business owners are invited to a workshop on how to win federal contracts. The HUBZone Certification and Government Contracting workshop, 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Sept. 24 at the Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce, 1101 Broadway, is free to attend.
The workshop will provide tips on how to complete the HUBZone electronic application and on marketing a small business to secure federal contracts. Before registering, attendees are encouraged to determine if their company is a “historically underutilized business” by visiting http://map.sba.gov/hubzone/maps.
The workshop, presented by the Washington Procurement Technical Assistance Center and the Small Business Administration, will feature Jordana Barclay, the Southwest Washington Procurement Technical Assistance Center counselor. For more information, email jbarclay@vancouverusa.com/
