The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Seattle says federal agents conducted several raids across Western Washington — including in Vancouver — on Wednesday, netting eight arrests from a drug trafficking and selling ring.
The raids conducted by agents from the FBI, U.S. Postal Inspection Service, the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives as well as Seattle police officers happened in Vancouver, Covington, Puyallup, SeaTac, Tukwila, Seattle and Tacoma.
On Wednesday, a home in Vancouver suspected of being a stash house for the drug money was searched by a SWAT team, according to Emily Langlie, spokeswoman for the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Prosecutors say the ring was involved in trafficking cocaine and methamphetamine from California. They say the ring sold the drugs out of several locations, but primarily from a Mexican restaurant — the Juan Colorado — in Seattle’s South Park neighborhood.
Agents served warrants on several other suspected stash houses around Western Washington on Wednesday.
