PORTLAND — A Portland hotel group appears to be serious about building a hotel on 2.2 acres next to the Valley River Inn.
Valley Hospitality LLC in mid-July paid $1.2 million for the parcel that sits between Valley River Inn and Delta Highway, according to a deed filed with Lane County.
Valley Hospitality bought the acreage from longtime owners Anna Rossi von Riedkirch and Margaret Holemar Thumel, both of Lane County.
An architect representing an unnamed would-be owner or developer met late last year with city staff to discuss building a four-story, 100-unit hotel on the land.
