From terrifying “live” monsters to a “barely scary, rather friendly” Haunted Hall built onto a porch, many Clark County residents are going gangbusters this season with festive yard displays. Here are some homes, submitted by Columbian readers, where you are invited to pass by and check out their chilling creations. Happy Halloween!
8405 N.E. 69th St., Vancouver
What to expect: The ghost- and skeleton-themed display features a cemetery with tombstones, lights and skeletons in fun scenarios, including dancing in a conga line. It’s overseen by a 7-foot-tall gravedigger. Walk up to the yard but do not cross the barrier.
11812 N.W. 18th Ave., Vancouver
What to expect: The home is decorated with a clown theme for Halloween, but nothing too creepy. The owners promise there’s nothing in their yard “that’s going to scare little kids.”
