Nominees for high school fall sports athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Oct. 26. Voting will conclude at 8 p.m. Thursday with results published in Friday’s Columbian.

AUSTIN BLANKENSHIP, COLUMBIA RIVER BOYS CROSS COUNTRY: After finishing second to Kelso’s Nick Mournier last year, Blankenship won the 3A district meet by seven seconds over Mournier, winning in 15:15.

DIEGO DE LA TORRE, HOCKINSON GOLF: De La Torre captured the 2A district tournament in dominating fashion, winning by 13 strokes and helping Hockinson win the team title.

NICOLE GOECKE, PRAIRIE GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY: Goecke defended her 3A district title, posting a 99-second victory with winning time of 16:45.

JONATHAN HO, CAMAS TENNIS: Ho won a three-set battle over Union’s Tanner Blake to claim the 4A district singles championship.

MORGAN MICHELETTI, LA CENTER VOLLEYBALL: Micheletti had seven aces and 54 digs, including a whopping 40 digs in a division-clinching win over King’s Way Christian.
