• Theresa Bohlman has received the Core Value Award from Ridgefield-based Corwin Beverage Co. The award honors employees who demonstrate the firm’s values. Bohlman, a custodian, has worked at Corwin for three years.
• Ridgefield resident and building industry advocate Mike Bomar was named president of the Columbia River Economic Development Council. Bomar, 34, has served as executive director of the Southwest Washington Contractors Association since 2010. Prior to that, he worked for the Clark County Building Industry Association. Bomar was appointed to the new position by a unanimous vote of the CREDC’s 40-member board.
• Burke Industrial Coatings of Ridgefield has hired John E. Thompson as vice president of sales and marketing. Thompson comes from West Palm Beach, Fla., with 18 years of sales and management experience and knowledge in the industrial coatings field.

• Chef Willem Paul Klitsie, owner of Fratelli in Portland’s Pearl District, has opened Willem’s on Main, 907 Main St. Klitsie will offer Northwest cuisine with Italian and French influences.
