Kalama man who died in Larch Mountain dirt bike crash identified

Clinton Carrico, 41, died while riding in the Yacolt Burn State Forest

A Kalama man who died Friday afternoon in a dirt bike crash on Larch Mountain was identified by the Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Clinton Carrico, 41, died of blunt force injuries to the head and chest, the agency said.

Carrico was part of a group riding off-road vehicles in the Jones Creek recreational area. The group lost track of him and backtracked to find he had crashed off the trail and was dead, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash was reported at 12:30 p.m. Friday on the Department of Natural Resources L-1500 Road in the Yacolt Burn State Forest. Carrico’s death was ruled accidental.

Carrico worked as a civil engineer and attended high school in Portland, according to his Facebook page.
