A 41-year-old Oregon man suspected in an Oct. 10 killing was arrested Saturday morning at a Vancouver grocery store, according to law enforcement officials in Jackson County, Ore.
Othon Robert Campos Jr., 41, of Medford, Ore., was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service at about 9:30 a.m. at the Saint Johns IGA, 2109 Saint Johns Blvd.
He had been indicted Thursday on charges of aggravated murder, two counts of murder and first-degree robbery related to the death of Frank Damiano, 62, of Ashland, Ore.
Campos had previously lived in Vancouver and Southeast Portland and investigators developed information that he is back in the region, according to the sheriff’s office. He was taken into custody this morning and lodged in the Clark County Jail.
Another man, Merlin Elmo Bound III, 34, of Medford was also indicted on murder, robbery and burglary charges in connection to the crime. He was arrested and remains in the Jackson County Jail without bail.
