Pulitzer Prize winner and New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof will speak about empowering the world’s women during a lecture 7 p.m. Nov. 4 at Washington State University Vancouver.
Kristof will speak about a book he co-authored titled “Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide.” He’ll also discuss efforts to end sex trafficking. The talk is part of WSUV’s Public Affairs Lecture Series.
Seating for the free event is limited to 200, and reservations must be made ahead of time on WSUV’s website, http://vancouver.wsu.edu/pals. The “click here to RSVP” link is located on the right side of the Web page. Reservations are limited to two tickets per person. The event will include overflow seating with a live stream video of the lecture.
