Among the pumpkins at the Pomeroy Living History Farm this weekend will be a Civil War encampment with re-enactors on the grounds. Visitors can take a hayride through the decorated Pumpkin Lane, full of 90 “pumpkin people” on the way to the farm’s pumpkin patch. There will also be a hay bale maze, farm animals, the pumpkin flume, tours of the historic log house and music by Wayne Hoffman and friends.

2. Musical retelling
Pacific Stageworks presents the rock musical “Godspell,” that draws on biblical parables, and the Gospel according to St. Matthew, mixing modern music with traditional hymns. The musical features hit songs such as “Day by Day” and “Prepare Ye (The Way of the Lord).”

3. Frights and bumps in the night
Four large haunted attractions in two buildings make up Confront Your Fears this year. Visitors will traverse different mazes: “Relic” is a hidden temple filled with monsters, giant spiders and snakes; “Biohazard” pays homage to horror video games with zombies and killers; “Morbid Nightmares” is a labyrinth of dreams gone wrong; and “Circus Insane 3D” is a fun house full of 3-D effects and killer clowns. Recommend for ages 14 and older. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs.When: 7 to 11 tonight and 7 to 10 p.m. Sunday.

4. Northwest favorite returns
Blending blues, rockabilly and classic R&B music styles, the Strange Tones are best known for their energetic live performances with the Volcano Vixens. They’ve received numerous awards from the Cascade Blues Association. The concert will celebrate the release of their new CD, “At Home with the Strange Tones.”
