The Mark Morris Monarchs flattened the Ridgefield Spudders at their homecoming game.
Ridgefield’s only points came from a 60 yard interception return by senior Josh Mason.
The rest of the game belonged to Mark Morris and their rolling offense and smothering defense. The game featured 21 penalties in total, three of which took back touchdowns for Mark Morris. Austin Smith and Keigan Baker had two touchdowns each for Mark Morris, and one TD each for Kyle Stevens, Hayden Tapani and Jordan Frost.
Mason’s 60-yard run was the most positive rushing yardage the Spudders were able to claw away from the Monarchs. Excluding Jalen Williams’ 42 yards in the closing minutes of the fourth quarter, Mason’s run equaled more total yards than the Spudders gained all game.
