Class 1A Trico League: Woodland 62, Stevenson 28

Hunter Huddleston threw five touchdown passes and Eli Whitmire scored three touchdowns as Woodland remained unbeaten in the Class 1A Trico League.

Whitmire scored on touchdown runs of 4 and 10 yards, and Huddleston added a 1-yard TD run to give Woodland a 21-0 lead after the first quarter.

Huddleston then threw TD passes to Whitmire, Kyle Hendrix, Vince Nigro and two to Trevor Huddleston as the Beavers built a 55-14 lead by the third quarter. Huddleston completed 12 of 19 passes for 242 yards.

For Woodland’s defense, Troy Flanagan made 11 tackles, Brian Preston had six tackles including a sack, and Spencer Altfilish made five tackles with a sack and a pass interception.

Brandon Van Pelt passed for 299 yards for Stevenson, and Colton Van Pelt had four catches for 134 yards.
