Within three minutes, the Skyview Storm rushed out to a 14-0 lead behind the powerful rushing game of Josh Seynaeve. Through the air, Zac Shomler found Jacob Dennis eight times, totaling 178 yards and two touchdowns.
Beyden Heppler found the end zone for Skyview in the fourth quarter and Taylor Johnson pounded in the final Storm score of the night on a 1-yard run. Heppler led the game for rushing, finishing with 75 yards.
Evergreen defensive lineman Robert Akil tackled Seynaeve in Skyview’s own end zone, giving the Plainsmen a safety and their lone score of the first half. Brody Bagnall intercepted a pass late in the fourth quarter and ran it 7 yards for a defensive touchdown for Evergreen. Three minutes later, Brandon Bea found Kobey Eaton in stride for a 50-yard score.
The Skyview defense forced three turnovers, including two on each of the Plainsmen first two drives. The Evergreen defense was on point also, blocking a field goal, an extra point, recovering a Storm fumble and taking an interception for a touchdown.
