Portland chef plans downtown Vancouver eatery

Chef Willem Paul Klitsie, owner of Fratelli in Portland’s Pearl District, will open a new restaurant in downtown Vancouver on Oct. 24: Willem’s on Main, at 907 Main St.

The restaurant, offering Northwest cuisine with strong Italian and French influences, will serve lunch on Thursdays, Fridays and Mondays, and dinner and Happy Hour Thursdays through Mondays. According to a news release, Klitsie plans to use as many local food providers as possible, including Ridgefield-based Millennium Farms.
