19-year-old cited after car crashes into pole in Camas

Five juveniles in the car escaped serious injury

A 19-year-old Camas man was cited after he crashed into a telephone pole Wednesday afternoon near Grove Field.

Christopher D. Williams was traveling with four juvenile passengers, who were related to Williams, when he crashed about 4:30 p.m.

Williams had been driving west on Northeast Third Street and failed to negotiate the north turn on to Northeast 257th Avenue, His vehicle went off the roadway and struck the pole, Clark County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Fred Neiman said.

Williams and one 15-year-old female suffered minor injuries, Neiman said.

The juvenile’s name was not released and her condition was not available. None of the other juveniles was injured.

Williams was cited on suspicion of negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
